Lazo | Dining Table

The Lazo Table represents time-honored human traditions.

Earth, fire, wood, and metal.

The table’s finish results from a bold and visionary desire to bring out simple shapes and natural textures. Wood charring highlights the unique character of woodgrain. The shape of the table’s base, like many authentically handcrafted pieces, partially determined the process itself. The nature of the terracotta dictated how many times the coils could wrap the base and in what shape. The hands followed along. Using a thousands-years old modeling method, the clay was modeled and coiled into rings sprinkled with bronze dust and baked.
