Sílice III integrates two traditional glass-working techniques — free blowing and the use of molds — and embraces the unexpected. During the creation process, the cylindrical wooden mold broke, and this, far from becoming a limitation, provided a new possibility: a rupture, held in time. The final pieces were created from traditional work involving the poetic reconciliation of opposing forces: fire and water, gravity and movement, that which is possible and that which has been done.
Twenty-one glasses invite you to contemplate their details. Amid infinite possibilities, twenty-one objects became materially unique.
